Summary the director of road service and outsidemaintenance is responsible for all maintenance activity outside thecompany shop network.

this is an extremely impactful position inthe maintenance department responsible for over 50% of themaintenance budget, currently about $30 million.
this person isresponsible for leading a team that focuses on maximizing equipmentavailability while minimizing overall cost.
this person must useexcellent vendor management and negotiating techniques and alwayslook for process improvement opportunities internally andexternally.

this includes interviewing for hire, coaching, determiningstandards, conducting performance appraisals and all areas ofperformance management including termination.
- work closing withoperating divisions and support departments - work closely withmaintenance department leadership to support the preventativemaintenance program, warranty program, and campaigns and recalls.

education and experience - 4 year degree orbusiness-related field and commensurate work-related experience.
