*description*
this position updates and makes transactions on tracking system based on information obtained from yard jobs, train crew, radio console regarding industry movements in road.
this position prints work orders, manages the readers work list, reviews interchange del with union pacific (up) and kcs, reviews the train list vs video camera records to validate interchange drags.
receives instruction, guidance, and direction from others.
uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
works on sub portions of projects using knowledge developed through education or experience.
contributes to specific objectives and outcomes as directed.
*accountabilities*
- ensure the correct work order update of interchanges delivered to up and kcsr.
- executes the process of validation of physical item (toma física) of trains that cross the nuevo laredo interchange bridge to laredo tx with up and kcs.
from the physical reception to the correction of events if applicable.
- checks video recordings in the security desk app when there are questions about a car or container number of the trains that cross to us in nuevo laredo.
- attends radio console communication with yard jobs, locals and any kind of id train to update trains in line movements (spotting, pulling, setting and picking).
- completes work order printed, programmed or not programmed work, then updates the information in the respective work order in the appropriate system (mcs).
- prints locals trains work orders.
- executes the correct update of the information of aei sites to ensure the list of work of aeis in mcs is executed and any inconsistencies are shown according to the established procedure and that the indicator of the established metric is maintained.
- joined industries inventory update.
- runs all kind of reports and summaries regarding the task done during the shift.
- exemplifies kcs vision, values, and culture in each and every interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.
*required*
- bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or enrolled in an accredited program with less than one year until graduation, or equivalent combination of education and experience
*preferred*
- basic english skills.
- 2 years' experience in customer service desk, customer's communication, or teamwork administration, data recorder, data management.
*essential functions*
- experience with computer data register/data processor, office computer system (excel, word, power point, outlook).
