*the opportunity*
*the vp of trading is responsible for the leadership and strategy of the trading division within miq's mexico region.
responsible for direct line management of the mexico trading team and ad operations staff, this key leadership role has a heightened focus on operational excellence as it relates to campaign performance and retention.
the vp of trading is accountable for balancing the revenue portfolio through consistent performance, retention, incremental and profit across advertiser campaigns.

*what you'll be doing*
vps of trading are balanced, equally motivated by technical execution as they are by commercial success.
you will partner with sales and account management leadership to drive results for the region.
in the role you will be accountable for, but not limited to, the following:
- leading delivery
- ensure consistent performance against monthly and quarterly commercial targets as set by the board
- balance trader workloads, ensure even and well-rounded distribution of advertiser campaign count and revenue across the regional trading group
- host weekly local management meetings with sales and account management leads in region
- focus on commercial deliverables as well as team solutions (cross-functional work, personnel needs)
- actively partner with commercial rvp to ensure synergy between commercial and operational arms of the business
- planning and organizing
- implement and execute trading best practices - particularly related to campaign management, and product & tool adoption
- monitor weekly pace/ performance - ensure portfolio opportunities are maximized & risks are flagged and addressed with action plans
- active participant in regional quarterly okr development; ensure regional objectives ladder to national and global business objectives
- coach & develop
- hire, retain, and mentor a high performing team with a focus on continued learning and development.
- assessing the team, giving feedback and stretching them to new levels while supporting them through changes
- helps structure long-term development approach for trader managers and senior traders in the region; build the bench of talent.
- persuading and influencing
- fosters a team dynamic that supports psychological safety in the mexico city office
- lead by example in cross functional workflows - build & maintain relationships & processes to drive joint outcomes with sales, account management, product, analytics departments
- regularly participate in external commercial engagements (e.g., summits, client advisory boards, etc.
), act as the external face for miq trading within region
- ensure product/delivery diversity across regional campaigns (multi product, multi platform, multi format)

*your qualifications*
- 2+ years direct management experience, proven ability to manage a large team (e.g., kpi setting, performance management, development, etc.)
- expertise within dsps - appnexus, dbm, ttd or aap preferred
- 3+ years experience with programmatic advertising - trading, analytics, campaign management or equivalent
- proven ability to make actionable and informed decisions
- highly effective communicator
- great commercial awareness - understands the programmatic landscape and how to navigate it
- demonstrated ability to work in an analytical, hands-on, rapidly changing environment
- proven problem solver with a 'make it happen' attitude
