as an aviation engines control systems lead engineer, you are responsible for solving highly-complex problems and partnering with smart teammates to build the future of flight by delivering impactful products to customers all around the world. Your responsibilities range from reviewing product requirements and designing aircraft engine control software that fulfills them, to translating requirements to engineering tasks and implementing them. The position includes the design, testing (system simulation), project management, and maintenance of engine control logic, application software, real-time modeling, hardware interfaces, and engine/aircraft testing in both laboratory and field environments in support of engineering and test activities to assure general electric aviation’s commercial engines perform in a safe, efficient, and robust manner.

* identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product control and control system technology needs. Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems with desired behaviors. Includes operability, setting of boundaries, cycle optimization, control logic, control related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback to control the performance of devices, subsystems, and systems.

* this role requires advanced experience in engineering/technology & controls engineering. Knowledge level is comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
