Reporting directly to the market director of the respective market, the regional sales manager, is responsible for managing a team of area sales managers with strategic client accounts at a regional level, maximizing all profitable opportunities for sales within the accounts while demonstrating the value of the winpak brand.
duties and responsibilites supervises and directs activities of area sales managers and/or office personnel in assigned region.coordinates the paperwork associated with an order from a client in such a manner that the goods can be produced and shipped to meet the customer's expectations.strives to achieve the pricing of orders per the published guide and/or published pricing and prepares price quotation requests and proposals.prepares price deviations in accordance with the requirements of the competition laws of the territory, to be forwarded with the order.obtains approval in advance of accepting the order for all variances from standard terms.adheres to winpak's marketing policies and procedures.assists with the collection of receivables.is accountable for all territory expenses as per established policies and procedures as outlined in the winpak travel and expense policies.communicates changes in requirements to both head office and to the client r as they occur, i.e. lead times, order size, product change, etc.responsible for managing any territory inventory in accordance with company policy and/or special agreements.communicates in writing/telephone all complaints immediately to the appropriate personnel so that corrective action may be taken in a timely manner.maintains logs of all customer orders, inventory and delivery schedules.completes chemical analysis reports as well as test evaluation forms.completes expenses reports accurately and on time.plans calls within territory to maximize sales efforts to meet client requirements.provides sales forecasts for each of winpak's product lines, by client..works within winpak's budget related to sales expenses.provides updates related to the capabilities and new developments of the company's competitors.attend trade shows and seminars as necessary.promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of winpak's tqi program.perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with iso 9001 standards.perform other duties as assigned.professional relationships inside – r&d, technical, customer service, market directors, directors of business development, product managers, operations and quality team members. Outside – customer and all employees with some interaction with winpak suppliers

main challenge of this position penetration into the active and potential regional accounts given the complexity of the account's organizational chart.
working conditions the position requires a work-from-home responsibility while travel to winpak business units will be required on an as needed basis. Travel 50%+ is a requirement
qualifications: education bachelor's degree an asset.experience minimum 2 years of national account selling experience.5 plus years experience in packaging (technical or commercial) focused on strategic sales growth.abilities excellent interpersonal skills and a proven track record of growing business within large accounts.excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.proven track record of working to kpis and achieving targets.strong microsoft office skillsets a mustenthusiastic team player and self-starter.ability to prioritize time and focus on key and critical business activities.a valid drivers license.must be able to travel within canada, the us and mexico.other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered.
