Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities
- coordinate with the commercial manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through sales force/pipeline report
- ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
- responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items
- build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses
- assist customers with basic inquiries and customer issues
- maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes
- ensure that the essentra components service proposition is being executed on a daily basis
- acquire and maintain product knowledge
- gain an understanding of the territory's customers and market trends
