job scope & purpose*in this role you will support the johnson controls global tax center of excellence with various purchasing and budgeting activities, global spend management tasks, special projects and other administrative duties.- training for recurring daily/monthly duties and ad-hoc projects will be provided.- please note that this position was created having continuity in mind, without the potential to advance to other positions or levels within the organization.
*how you will do it?
essential job responsibilitiesglobal tax purchase order administration:- administration of the purchase order pre-approval process- maintenance of a sharepoint list which contains incoming purchase order requests- purchase order creation for the us and latam tax teams using the sap ariba software- liaison between the us and latam tax teams, the procurement organization and corporate accounting- point of contact for vendors for any questions regarding vendor management, payment terms etc.global tax spend management:- monthly preparation and review of reports that support the analysis of actual versus budgeted global tax department expenses- monthly identification of expenses that can be transferred out of the global tax function to other corporate departments or business units- retrieving invoice copies from sap as needed for review and further analysis- obtaining quarterly vendor confirmations for unbilled services- other administrative duties:- fulfillment of other administrative duties (such as the preparation of reports or presentations) and special projects that come up in the course of tax center of excellence operations*what we look for?
position requirements*- minimum of 3-4 years of administrative work in a corporate office environment (e.g.
as administrative assistant, accountant or involved with the administration of procurement, accounting, marketing, hr, accounts receivable, accounts payable or inventory management processes etc.
)- bachelor degree - related to the area*hard skills*:- ms office 365: excel, word, powerpoint, ms teams- some prior business software experience (e.g.
erp systems, accounting software, time and expense tracking tools, etc.
)*soft skills*:- fluent in english- great communication skills- organized and motivated to follow through on assignments with great attention to detailjohnson controls does not request pregnancy or hiv testing as a requirement for admission, permanence or promotion.
