key responsibilities:
* 60% focus on power bi transition (priority requirement):
* transition from the existing data analytics dashboard to power bi on azure, automating pipelines from oracle databases and addressing bandwidth issues.
* migrate existing customers from current dashboards to power bi, including infrastructure support, script execution, and determining where to run scripts.
* manage access control in power bi, ensuring client access to specific data and user management.
* 40% focus on supporting horizontal devops with technical debt reduction.
current devops skillset for gs existing ecosystem:
* experience with aws infra, pipeline automation, and customized scripts for production deployments.
* handling complexity across different tech stacks with varied deployment approaches.
* access management.
* application firewall management.
* build and deploy processes.
good to have experience for this role:
* aws infra management (assuming current infra is on aws and for this role azure experience will be more helpful).
* working with oracle databases.
* power bi user access management.
* pipeline automation from transactional databases.
