What will you do?Coaches direct buyers, buyer supervisors, and mro indirect buyers track the status of the new items quotes with gp, update parameters for all new and existing items, and guarantee buyers' activities and responsibilities are done in a timely manner.principal duties:manage continuous communication with global purchasing to have the prices in a timely manner.assure global procurement escalation for prices available to meet our supplier's lead time and production schedule.update parameters for new items and run material audits according to the health report.ensure all materials are on time and available for production.lead projects to reduce shortages in assembly lines.establish and track buyers' activities, objectives, and responsibilities in a proper manner.develop and monitor vendor performance.directly supervise buyer supervisors & mro buyers.assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing, and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortages.comply with activities specified in jci safety commitment letter.participate in safety subcommittees and safety audits as required.participate in risk assessments.participate in ehs suggestions program.participate in ehs observations program.implement and maintain security policy, health, and environment at work.support the committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects.participate in training program.identify training needs in safety, health, and environment.train your staff in procedures and instructions.define corrective and preventive actions.control system logs in your area.develop and review procedures and instructions.intervene personally to identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behavior.identify and report potential environmental impacts.analyze and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity.requirements:bachelor's degree or 6+ years of experience in purchasing.bilingual.leadership skills.teamwork.service attitude.ability to work under pressure.experience in a manufacturing planning capacity.ability to read and understand mrp reports, stock status reports, material variance reports, and customer order shortage report.knowledge in running queries on the as/400 or equivalent database.ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.#j-18808-ljbffr
