the carrier sales is responsible for procuring carriers for new or existing business, operational needs and/or margin improvements.
*key responsibilities*
- cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing carriers.
- regularly communicate with carriers to understand their capabilities, capacity, and market conditions.
- negotiate favorable terms and rates with carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- stay informed about market trends and conditions to negotiate competitive agreements
- monitor and assess carrier capacity to ensure it aligns with the company's needs.
- negotiate with carriers to generate capacity for new and existing business.
- constantly look for new carriers to work with according to the company's needs.
*qualifications*
- education: bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- english level - advance
- experience: minimum at least 1 year of proven experience in logistics of transportation and/or brokerage, and/or sales
- excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- effective communication and negotiation skills.
- proficiency in logistics software and microsoft office suite.
- ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve problems efficiently.
