The role:
electrical distribution system team value management and process improvement lead
your impact:
lead cost reduction actions for the cx430 eds program during 22cy and 23cy q1:
- define workplans, timelines to meet design freeze, release, and validation of tvm ideas.
- update crid system.
- estimate cost and tooling investments for design changes utilizing ford approved tools.
- release parts in fedebom and wers as required.
- support the change control meeting as required and lead internal tracking meetings to achieve releases.
- report to tvm leads and eds manager on weekly basis.
- run tvm events (coordinate the revision of physical parts to find material saving opportunities).
Development of process improvements for the eds department:
- use fresh eyes at existing processes within eds.
- identify and support team’s process improvement initiatives.
- document processes.
What you’ll need:
position requirements:
- engineering degree (electrical desirable). Penultimate semester or at least a year to complete the degree.
- strong english proficiency (written, read, and oral).
- microsoft office usage (excel, word, powerpoint, and visio).
- 3d cad software understanding
- understanding of automotive systems.
Desired skills:
- time and project management
- understanding of feature partitioning.
- programming skills
- 3d cad software knowledge
