Summary of position:the plant manager oversees all daily operations of the tijuana manufacturing facility, ensuring production, quality, safety, and regulatory standards are met. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the site complies with all applicable medical device regulations. This leader will implement kpis that measure and drive improvement. The leader will also foster a culture of continuous improvement, performance and teamwork. Primary responsibilities:plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed cost and quality expectationsachieve production output, product quality and on-time shipping goalsimplement continuous improvement strategies and provide a clear sense of direction and focus for the teambuild culture of onsite team and develop plant staffcollect and analyze data to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved commit to plant safety proceduresdevelop systems, metrics and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards to ensure effective return on assetsstay up to date with latest production management best practices and conceptswork closely with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders position requirements - education, knowledge, years of experience, etc.:bs degree in engineering, operations, business management or related fieldproven leadership experience as a plant manager for at least 5-10 yearsproven managerial experience as manufacturing manager prior to plant management bilingual – english & spanishknowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertiseknowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processescomputer literacyability to create accountability and to lead by examplestrong team building, decision-making, and people leadership skillsmedical device manufacturing, plastics and electronics manufacturing and assembly experience is preferred
