this position is responsible for the creation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and year over year market intelligence updates.
in addition, guidance to business leadership and economic impact is calculated and communicated.
this role is responsible for the strategic direction of the category through strategy creation and approval.
this position serves as the category team lead and maintains a regular cadence of reviews with the extended business unit procurement team to ensure alignment and execution of strategy.

- *design the perfect sourcing footprint for the commodity / sub commodities, define the roadmaps and make it happen*:

- *drive cost savings through low cost country sourcing, supplier rationalization, value engineering, etc*:

- *act as a center of excellence for the respective categories through complete understanding of industry, competition, key players, future technologies and innovations, etc*:
- *support knowledge based sourcing (kbs) initiatives for the respective categories*:
- *actively support and participate in resolving supplier delivery, quality or commercial issues which have been escalated to the category team*:
- *coordination of purchasing strategies across all plants that consume the respective categories*:
- *control and improve purchasing controlling and cost analysis in order to achieve savings and cost tracking*:
- *own and drive towards effective make/buy decisions and analysis*:
- *lead supply base and supplier development activities*:
- *leverage of purchases across all business units and regions globally*:
- *meet or exceed profit plan goals related to categories: cost savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization, lcc% content and other agreed business objectives.

*qualifications / requirements*:
*- *bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combined education and experience.

- *5+ years of experience in a related purchasing role.

- *cpm certification and hvac experience preferred.

- *previous supply chain experience preferred.

- *sap erp system experience preferred.
