*job summary*:we are seeking an experienced senior 2d character animator to join our game development team.
in this role, you will focus on creating high-quality 2d character animations that bring our characters to life.
your animations will play a key role in shaping the visual experience of the game, aligning with the artistic direction and gameplay mechanics.

*responsibilities*:- create smooth and high-quality 2d character animations using *spine*, ensuring they align with the artistic vision and gameplay mechanics.- collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure animations support the visual storytelling and character performance.- ensure animation consistency across characters, scenes, and assets.- troubleshoot and refine animations to improve quality and performance.- contribute to the improvement of animation workflows and best practices within the team.- mentor and guide junior animators, helping them develop their skills and maintain high-quality standards.
*requirements*:- minimum of 5 years of experience in 2d animation for mobile game production.- expertise in spine animation software, including rigging, skeletal animation, and motion editing.- strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and character movement.- ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (art, design, etc.)
to ensure seamless animation execution.- traditional animation skills (drawing, understanding of squash/stretch, timing) are a plus, but not essential.- excellent communication and team collaboration skills.- familiarity with additional 2d animation tools like adobe animate or toon boom (preferred).this is a remote position where you would be accountable for your own work so efficient time-management and collaboration skills are a must.
