- review and determine federal, state and local taxes.
- analyzes information to prepare excel sheets with the details of tax calculations.
- prepare the integration of all balance sheet account for taxes monthly.
- prepare journal entries for tax cancelations, monthly and yearly cancelation of taxes.
- prepare tax fillings.
- prepare information for vat returns.
- prepare documents to respond to tax authorities.
- be able to respond request of information from tax authorities.
- work with payroll team to determine and solve discrepancies related to withhold taxes related to payroll.
- knowledge of presentation of taxes (pago referenciado), vat information (diot), annual information (informativas anuales), annual tax, maquiladora information (safe harbor-diemse), withholding taxes, etc.
- follow up authority requirements.
- leads projects related to taxes.
- develops tax procedures.
- assists in all related to accounting for taxes.
- calculation of tax depreciation.
- requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- requires at least 5 years related experience.
- skilled specialist with proficient functional knowledge and analytical skills pertinent to tax calculation.
- knowledge of the accounting and legal requirements of tax reporting.
- excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- intermediate knowledge of microsoft excel.
- ability to manipulate data, prepare reports and analyze outcomes.
- prefer experience with sap and hyperion.
- ability to learn new software or reporting tools.

qualifications:

must possess excellent communication and research skills, business acumen, proficiency with accounting and computer software, knowledge of automated tax processing systems (preferably hyperion, corptax) and federal tax laws and strong ethics. Interpersonal skills and a strong aptitude for mathematics are also important.
