The plant manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, engineering, and other production-related activities like quality and cutting to manufacture an array of apparel products.
*essential responsabilities*:
direct and manage plant manufacturing operations and interacts, plans, and execute with supporting departments.
coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
develop and control profits, plans, and budget.
responsible for p & l.
- implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, and manpower.
- ensures production reaches desired output and quality goals, while maximizing efficiency
- establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses.
- provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
- provides direction, development, and leadership to production supervisor.
- maintain positive employee relations, open communications while resolving employee discipline or performance issues.
- ensure a safe and positive work environment in compliance with osha, company standards, local state and federal requirements.
- track employee's absenteeism, performance, and timekeeping.
- coordinate and provide any training required to assigned team members.
- responsible for adherence to the policies, procedures, and instructions of the company quality systems.
*minimum job requirements*:
- bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field experience in a manufacturing environment.
- minimum 7-year experience or more in a similar plant management position.
- sewing industry experience
