.join macquarie asset management as an asset manager in our mexico city office!As a junior asset manager, you will be responsible for managing core/core+ assets in mexico's office, retail, and logistics markets.
your main tasks will include the coordination and oversight of service providers, and the relationship management of tenants.you will spend a significant portion of your time analyzing operating and financial reports, preparing monthly and quarterly portfolio reports, preparing ad hoc management reports for clients and portfolio managers, preparing property business plans and annual operating budgets, presenting cash flow forecasts to evaluate portfolio performance, performing hold/sell analyses and asset valuations.
within your duties you will be analyzing outside consultant reports including appraisals, environmental and insurance reports,, closely collaborating with other internal departments and liaising with our portfolio managers.,.
you will also review market reports, establish commercial relations with other potential services providers, deal with the leasing team on all commercial aspects related to the assets or cooperate with the enterprise team on certain corporate aspects that affect the properties.in addition to your asset management activities outlined above, you will also be working with our acquisitions team providing support on certain administrative matters related to potential transactions with a focus on supporting the closing of the transaction to assure a smooth transition of the projects into the asset management team.to be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree (or any combination of education or experience evaluated to be equivalent to bachelor's degree) in business administration or related field (accounting, economics, or finance), ideally complemented by a master's degree in business administration or related field (accounting, economics, or finance).
you will have experience with cash flow forecasting software such as argus, rent roll analysis, detailed recovery structures, investment, valuation & reporting, modeling and auditing & risk analysis.
you should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish.
it is key that you hold at least 2 years of commercial real estate asset management experience.
acquisitions experience will be a plus.
prior experience must include asset management, property management or commercial valuations.
