The staff accountant is responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including preparing tax documents and updating expense files. They will perform financial transactions and post them in the general ledger, with strong attention to detail.
duties and responsibilities:
1. maintain and update accounting records and files
2. review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
3. analyze departmental expenditures and work with department owners to execute to budget and seek areas of opportunities / synergies throughout the company.
4. reconcile bank statements
5. review and prepare monthly financial statements.
6. review and execute monthly journal entries and balance sheet reviews.
7. conduct month-end and year-end closures
8. examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
9. accounts receivable analytics / backup ar specialist.
10. review and approved payments to validate and ensure accuracy
11. prepare documentation for external auditors.
12. performs other related duties as assigned.
job requirements:
required education:
·bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
work related experience:
·two years of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or financial analyst or valid cpa (certified public accountant) certificate with at least one year of professional experience as an accountant, auditor, or financial analyst.
