as a materials manager you'll working with stakeholder, leadership, and cohorts to optimize our materials management process.
*responsibilities*:- researching potential vendors and negotiating prices.- working with management to identify supply needs.- recommending solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity.- recording and assessing all materials quality, movement, and expenditure.- managing the distribution of supplies in the organization.- monitoring inventory levels and access to the material.- collaborating with management to plan forecasting models.- overseeing and supporting subordinates and new employees.- preparing and filing detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and vendors- designing and maintaining department budgets- planning and forecasting demand with flow materials to support consistently manufacturing for future orders- coordinate with manufacturers and engineers to request field service parts to fix or install machines at customers' sites- closely monitoring and maintaining accurate inventory status with warehouse team to match with perpetual system record, and replenish parts with optimum level to support any urgent needs from local and global customers or r&d needs- supervising manufacturer for stable production with having quality control to ensure constant and reliable output- communicating with engineers to resolve debugging and testing issues to avoid delaying production- managing on-time shipment from factories in us and mexico to global customers- discussing with sales team to allocate resources and products for clients to decide estimated shipment schedule*education and ideal experience*- bachelor's degree in logistics or relevant field
