objective:
manages assigned categories to ensure that rich’s requirements for delivery, quality, cost and safety are met and that rich’s values are maintained throughout the supply base with guidance.
drive suppliers to continuously improve the value they deliver to rich products corporation.
assess, manage, mitigate, and avoid risk throughout the supply chain for assigned categories.
requirements:
1. bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial or related engineering.
2. experience ±3 years in the purchase of industrial services, spare parts, and machinery for food production plants, tender execution, and price analysis.
3. knowledge of strategic sourcing (5 steps strategic sourcing methodology).
4. intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel and sap ecc/s4hana (module mm).
5. knowledge of markets and price movements consultation.
6. good english skills, preferably at a conversational level.
7. negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgency – prioritization.
8. easy access to the work area in ocoyoacac, estado de mexico.
9. submit resume in both english and spanish.
key responsibilities:
1. drive value, cost savings, and joint process improvement initiatives for assigned categories.
2. drive sourcing process for assigned categories according to the policy and procedures.
3. coordinate joint slas with suppliers for assigned categories.
4. stay abreast of the economic, technological, capacity, and related developments in assigned categories.
5. develop financial forecasts for assigned categories.
6. provide information to ensure that rich’s central supplier database is current for all assigned categories.
7. resolve all regional quality, service, and financial issues for assigned categories.
8. complete various financial reporting tasks such as volume and pricing analyses, market reporting, contract balance analysis, spend by supplier reporting, quarterly cost standard updates, variance reporting, and interpretation of financial information.
9. utilize key supplier metrics to manage consistent service levels from suppliers and engage end-use associates to develop and manage action plans to address issues; provide daily management of suppliers including order management, forecasting, pricing, invoicing, inventory levels, and periodic supplier reviews and visits.
10. maintain consistent material quality from suppliers through the use of key supplier metrics and develop and manage action plans with procurement supplier director (or supervisor) to address/correct any issues.
11. may lead strategic sourcing teams and act as buying category subject matter expert; participate in rfi/rfp scoring, supplier visits, development of negotiation strategy and negotiations with potential suppliers.
12. participate and/or lead various project teams throughout the organization; may be required to provide updates and presentations to procurement management and/or the entire department.
13. make presentations of results and recommendations to various groups, both internally and externally (e.g., town hall meetings, steering team, etc.).
14. manage legal contracts and achieve agreements with suppliers according to the policy and procedures of the company.
15. interact and collaborate with peer buyers in mexico, colombia, brazil, us, or any other region that global procurement covers.
