*sr. Manufacturing engineer*
*job duties and responsibilities*:
- lead efforts to develop improved process capabilities - keep on top of industry technology.
- establishes project manufacturing specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards, completing capability, kinematic and other technical studies
- responsible for creating npi's, initiating eco's, and assuring that the process is running to quote.
- work with material suppliers on improvements
- develop specifications for new equipment purchases
- establish specification for equipment upgrades
- must coordinate design reviews, material selection and procurement, fair's, ppap's and part approvals and apqp
- develop modeling capabilities
- developing true spc systems
- develop and conduct training programs for line operators and process technicians
- plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties.
- analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- elaboration of documentation (amef, flow diagrams, etc.)
- responsible for the pfmea and the reduction of rpns and register in the document control system.
- confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- utilizing six sigma and tqm tools to enhance productivity and reduce scrap

- extensive knowledge and/or training in core tools (ppap,amef, spc,msa,apqp) and iso iatf 16949
- demonstrated manufacturing process development ability on different types of materials and processes
- desire and ability to work in both an office and workshop environment by combining formal education with hands-on work in the shop
- demonstrate knowledge on lean/six sigma methodologies.

- bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience (or similar combination of education and experience) with history of progressive achievements
- general understanding of drafting standards and methodologies
- working knowledge of microsoft office products, ms project, 2-d design software (autocad)
- automotive industry experience needed
