*a day in the life *:in the role of senior auditor, you will report to the regional corporate audit manager and you will contribute to the corporate audit program within the latam and canada region as well as potential international assignments.
you will be developing a working knowledge of medtronic's products & business models models, processes and operations.
you will utilize your field experience, business/industry knowledge and technical knowledge to lead a variety of audit/consulting engagements and support the company's objectives.
simultaneously, you will support the regional corporate audit manager on risk assessment activities.
the position is based in mexico city and will operate on a hybrid model.
*responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned*:
- lead audit projects in accordance with department standard operating procedures
- support business in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures
- design and prepare reports of findings and recommendations to management
- conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits by examining and verifying accounting or operational records and or procedures of internal organizations to determine the reliability and effectiveness of financial and control systems
- inspire, motivate, develop and actively coach team members
*required knowledge and experience*
- bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in audit i.e big4 or internal audit
- understanding of internal control design and testing
- excellent interpersonal and english communication (verbal and written) skills
- experience with accounting and auditing theories and principles, including us gaap and sox
