as we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced general manager to lead our operations, drive business growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.
role overview
the general manager (gm) will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cubabooking’s operations, including strategic planning, financial performance, team management, customer experience, and business development.
this role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the hospitality and e-commerce industries, as well as a passion for innovation and travel.
as a general manager, you will have a diverse and varied role. Ultimately you will be responsible, independently and as part of a team, for the successful delivery of group and event travel across our key clients. This role is hands-on and, given tm g’s ambition for growth and scale, includes a wide variety of opportunities for individual growth and development.
this role, in a fast-paced environment, will require you client onboarding and driving the enhancement of technology and processes to improve efficiencies. You will be extremely solution driven and have the ability to develop relationships with clients while understanding their unique requirements to deliver a first-class service, independently as well as driving excellence from the wider team.

* develop and execute a strategic plan to grow cubabooking’s market share, revenue, and brand presence.
* identify and implement innovative strategies to enhance the platform’s performance and customer reach.
* build partnerships with hotels, tour operators, and local businesses to expand service offerings.

* oversee daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient platform functionality.
* monitor performance and optimize processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* ensure compliance with local and international travel and e-commerce regulations.
* manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to achieve profitability goals.
* optimize pricing strategies and commission structures for hotels and service providers.
* identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
* lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* recruit, train, and retain top talent to ensure high performance across departments.
* encourage professional growth and development among team members.
customer experience & brand management
* ensure an exceptional customer experience by optimizing user journey, customer support, and satisfaction.
* implement strategies to enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and retention.
skills and knowledge
* ideally a minimum of 8 years travel industry experience, ideally in a dmc.
* ability to pitch and propose group travel solutions to new and existing clients.
* proven ability to source and win new business.
* strong client account management.
* supporting the development and growth of junior members of the team.
* negotiating fares and supplier contracts.
