This role will: support development and implementation of the sourcing strategies to achieve lowest total costs, improve working capital, drive effective asset management, achieve quality improvement, ensure on-time delivery, improve cycle time, ensure early supplier involvement in product development.
*key responsibilities*:
- supplier quality and delivery escalations. Lead cross-functional global teams to achieve key objectives; play active role in resolving critical quality and delivery issues with suppliers. (comprehensive ownership of supplier performance.)
- supplier relationship. Manage direct engagement with suppliers and internal functional teams globally
to drive implementation of the supply strategy and ensure success of the supply chain.
- support development and implementation of plans with cross functional partners to meet annual goals which includes supplier strategy, productivity/cost-reduction, lead-time reductions, consignment/kan-ban implementation, working capital improvement, supplier quality, localization, growth and capacity
- support: npi mechanical team requirements, escalations mos for delivery issues, po confirmation, price increase &
- moq, invoice/terms disputes, automation and sus compliance.
- maintain supplier/purchasing master data in sap/erp
*you must have*:
- bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, purchasing or operations or related discipline.
- 5 years of regional/global experience in strategic sourcing or related field.
- experience in casting, machining, sheet metal, forging, siop

- mba or other master's degree preferred, emphasis in operations and supply chain preferred.
- experience in the following or similar industries: controls, industrial equipment, automotive.
- direct materials management experience for factories preferred.
- previous experience in global high-mix manufacturing business
- cips, apics and/or cpm or equivalent certification preferred.
- six sigma green belt or black belt certification preferred.
- experience in leading cross-functional and sourcing teams with an emphasis on emerging regions.
