- assume the role of global policies and processes owner pertinent to the controllership function
- author and approve accounting policies, while collaborating and reaching consensus with corporate and regional controllership
- publish and communicate accounting policies for global adoption ensuring policies remain current and relevant
- ensure global end-to-end processes are aligned with accounting policies and related controls
- review and support design elements of system deployments and work with the business to provide sign-off on business requirement documents
- provide input and approval on final design documents for any new system deployment or enhancement to existing systems
- develop strong partnerships with other business groups and cross-functional teams to facilitate reaching desired objectives
- monitor the utilization of deployed technology to ensure global adoption and compliance with service level agreements and target kpis
- review and approve change requests originating from business users and prioritize for development purposes
- lead process consistency and standardization initiatives, whether work is performed locally or through global business service centers
- perform various ad hoc projects, tasks, and month-end close duties, as needed

- the new hire will be part of a dynamic global sox compliance team influencing the way accounting transactions are to be recorded by global accounting users. This includes supporting the policy owners with their reviews, publishing accounting policies and designing processes for global adoption. The scope and reach of this team are global resulting in endless opportunities for process improvements and for professional development.

job qualifications:

- 6 years of progressive accounting experience
- excellent analytical skill set, with initiative to research independently as needed
- superior communication skills at all levels and in all mediums
- approaches responsibility with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to excellence
- capable of solving complex challenges and carry out responsibilities with mínimal supervision
- multi-tasking capacity will be critical, as well as solid project management skills
- ability to explain complex processes and workflows in summarized “one-pager” format will be fundamental
- international public company experience will be critical, given herbalife nutrition’s global nature
- thorough understanding of us gaap will be essential
- excellent verbal and written communication skills - english / spanish
- cpa or equivalent
- big 4 accounting experience
education
- bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
