*key responsibilities*:- provide import compliance guidance to all functions within a site or multiple sites.- conduct site risk assessments, audits, and support to complete corrective actions to mitigate risks in maquiladora sites.- participate in and provide support to more complex and demanding projects for example: transition projects in maquiladoras as subject expert of matter.- create necessary procedures to improve communication among stakeholders to maintain vat, aeo, immex, import licenses for maquiladora sites.- advise to compliance management, at any level, of key issues, new and potential problems, entry errors as required.- ensure training for import export personnel and other functional areas as isc, finance, taxes, hse, and legal, across multiple site(s) that may deal with trade compliance in maquiladora sites.
*you must have*:- bachelor's degree in international trade, foreign trade, business, or related field.- 3 years in import/export experience or related discipline- proficient in reading, writing, and speaking in english.- strong background in international trade operations- deep knowledge of mexican foreign commerce legislation- knowledge of customs regulations.- excellent understanding of core processes and trade compliance.- comprehensive knowledge of traffic, procurement, receiving, engineering, isc, and other related procedures that impact import or export transactions.
