assignments
the role will be responsible for logistics management and coordination in three main scenarios:
delivery from warehouse in usa to border:
1. receive and validate purchase orders (quantity, warehouse, position, material, dates).
2. coordinate with carriers the pick-up at the u.s. warehouse, ensuring compliance with defined pick-up dates.
3. schedule appointments with the warehouse for product loading.
4. verify transport documentation (bol, invoices, packing list, certificates of analysis, among others).
5. follow up the movement of the transport to the border crossing point.
6. keep the commercial area and customers informed about the status of the shipment.
delivery from usa to a city in mexico:
1. oversee the complete transportation from the warehouse in the u.s. to the final destination in mexico.
2. manage customs processes for the importation of the product, ensuring compliance with regulations.
3. coordinate with customs brokers and carriers to expedite border crossing.
4. verify the correct release of cargo at customs and compliance with documentary requirements.
5. follow up on the final delivery in mexico, ensuring the customer’s compliance.
delivery from warehouses in mexico:
1. coordinate shipment from warehouses in mexico to the end customer.
2. validate inventory availability and manage alternatives in case of shortages.
3. schedule pick-ups with national carriers and coordinate delivery dates.
4. control delivery documentation (referrals, invoices, bol, among others).
5. monitor the status of orders until delivery to the customer.
6. respond to requests and resolve issues with customers and carriers.
additional functions and administrative support:
1. coordinate ocean imports from origins other than usa.
2. maintain system up to date with orders, delivery status and documentation.
3. support in the reconciliation of customer statements.
4. ensure proper costing of material in the system, control vendor invoicing.
5. create and maintain customer data in the system.
6. manage tasks in sap related to logistics and invoicing.
7. monitor logistics and customer service kpis to identify opportunities for improvement.
8. propose improvements in logistics and customer service processes.
profile required
– professional in logistics, comex, administrative or related areas.
– minimum 2 years of experience in international logistics, coordination of international transportation, international purchasing, shipping lines, freight forwarders, etc. and/or customer service in areas related to foreign trade.
skills:
* person with ability and agility to manage international orders and internal and external customer requirements.
* effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
* organizational skills to provide efficient follow up of international orders.
* knowledge in international logistics, international supplier management.
* intermediate level of english.
* intermediate/advanced excel skills.
* knowledge and management of erp’s (sap desirable).
