job summary
the maintenance manager is responsible for the long-term strategic planning of maintenance activities and timely response to any plant maintenance problem. Support in coordination and monitoring of the organization's project.
the position is based in altamira, tamaulipas.
key responsibilities
* reporting to the plant manager, responsible for directing and organizing the maintenance of the plant's equipment and systems, complying with applicable laws and established procedures, prioritizing the safety of people and equipment.
* achieve maximum performance and availability of the plant and provide a high-quality standard.
* plan strategic maintenance activities such as maintenance plans.
* respond to any maintenance problem in a timely manner and in real-time.
* manage maintenance tasks to ensure they are carried out in appropriate safety, environmental, and quality environments according to existing standards.
* assume the tasks designated in the pei (member of the advisory committee or alternate emergency chief) in the event of an emergency being declared.
* direct communication with the plant manager both in daily meetings and through reports.
* review and/or approve maintenance procedures and instructions.
* participate in the process of hiring personnel in charge of him.
* establish and ensure compliance with the work permit system (bfs) in the maintenance organization.
* member of the cai in the investigation/monitoring of incidents/accidents and regular investigator of work accidents.
* attend safety and ma rounds carried out by the plant.
* act in case of emergency as a member of the advisory committee or take over for other emergency team appointments, as defined in the pei.
* organize and coordinate the technical and safety training necessary to improve your team's professional skills.
* establish and implement regular maintenance activities through work plans in bfs and ensure their execution on time.
* ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables.
* communicate the importance of the management system requirements.
* promote improvement.
* support in maintaining the quality, safety, and ma system based on the corresponding iso standards.
qualifications and skills
* strong communication and interpersonal skills required for a highly matrix organization.

* at least 5 years of experience in the energy sector and in a similar position.
