this position reports to
quality manager
your role and responsibilities
in this role, you will be responsible for providing timely support to our internal customers on electrical testing to qualify new designs/re-designs or to validate the performance of our products. You will create ul reports and work closely with the technology department on improvement opportunities in our products or electrical tests. Additionally, you will support our manufacturing department with troubleshooting of failed pieces. The work model for this role is: on-site. Global relocation/lta support will not be considered for this position. This role contributes to the electrification smart buildings factory in nogales.
you will be mainly accountable for:
1. supporting the production of dry-type transformers, focusing on quality and testing opportunities.
2. writing quality/testing plans, utilizing test standards, and addressing quality opportunities, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and improvement action tracking.
3. arranging product testing based on technology and production requirements, conducting all tests and reports from ul standards on new transformer designs or client-specific tests, and validating compliance within limited timeframes, even during test equipment shutdowns.
4. training inspectors or technicians to improve their skills, coordinating and implementing error-proof processes, and validating new parts and engineering samples.

qualifications for the role
* you have 2+ years of related working experience in product quality or electrical testing.
* you are familiar with electrical circuit diagrams.
* you can communicate fluently in english and spanish.
* experience in spc, lean manufacturing, and tqm is an asset.
* bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in electronic/electrical or related fields.
