*the project aims to achieve the following outcomes*:
- increase understanding by workers, employers, and union leaders on how to utilize mexico´s new labor systems to protect labor rights and effectively address labor disputes; and,
- build the capacity of the federal and state level secretariat of labor and social welfare (secretaria de trabajo y prevención social or stps) staff and constituents from key institutions to conduct outreach regarding labor rights and implementation of the labor reforms among target audiences.
The project director will proactively promote the vision and strategy of development of the entire project, the delivery of all reports on time, assist the project director in preventing and solving challenges to achieve the successful development of the proposed activities and the achievement of the desired objectives and results.
*position summary*:
- nationality: mexican only.
- location: mexico city (with regular travel within mexico and occasional travel to the us).
- work type: office based.
- language: spanish and must have fluent english.
- reports: direct to corporate in the us.
- manage: deputy director, communication specialist, administration director, capacity building leader and others - between 8 to 10 in person in total.
- salary: expected range usd$7,500 to 9,000 gross per month on mexican employment contract plus additional employment benefits.

- degree qualified.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- extensive project management experience.
- team management experience.
- excellent communication skills.
- extensive experience engaging/ managing stakeholders to secure consensus.
- extensive mexican government experience (ideally within the secretary of labor).
- understanding of the governmental relationship between us and mexico.
