about the role
the dcs lead will report directly to the commissioning manager and be responsible for promoting and providing leadership for safety. They will direct and coordinate the daily activities of su dcs personnel, ensuring the integrity of all dcs components and systems for completion of contractual requirements with the highest degree of safety and quality.
key responsibilities
* oversee all distributive control system (dcs) commissioning activities and be accountable to the site commissioning manager.
* directly supervise plant dcs technicians during commissioning phase.
* perform dcs software logic changes per: control system change management procedure startup phase.
* provide oversight to tfa support.
* develop functional testing log and perform all tests prior putting systems in service.
* tune plant controls in preparation for plant performance testing.
* work with dcs installation representatives to monitor installation of dcs to ensure adherence to manufacturers recommendations.
requirements
* bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, control systems engineering, or a related field.
* minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning dcs systems.
* strong knowledge of distributed control systems (dcs) and related equipment.
* experience in developing commissioning plans and procedures for dcs systems.
* proficiency in performing functional testing and troubleshooting of dcs systems.
* excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* experience with siemens t3000.
* knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to dcs systems.

estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
