join the global paper and print category team at the lego group, responsible for the regional deployment of global strategy to enable our step change growing manufacturing footprint.
This role supports the operations area with a sense of urgency, safety, and quality to bring the the joy of play to the builders of tomorrow with a great attitude and improving the total cost of ownership.
*core responsibilities*
*strategy development & alignment w/key collaborators*
- work with global supplier relationship owners to ensure regional suppliers balance the portfolio for the category - paper and printing capabilities used in primary packaging.
- strategic partnerships with the key regional suppliers, enabling proper supplier relationship management and resiliency of supply. This will include identification of critical supply nodes in regional supply chain for primary packaging.
- contracting (gpas) incl. business allocation and align supplier portfolio with regions to ensure in-line with supplier messaging
- onboarding/terminating suppliers (co-ordinate quality audits, cocs, sampling, line trials, inbound logistics, etc.) Once allocations are decided, work with site procurement looking at forecast, mix, lead-times, and balancing supplier portfolio to enable regional site needs.
- assist in resolving operational issues such as delivery (otif), invoicing, payment, quality and/or other service levels violations if/when site procurement.
- responsible for all commercial and risk mitigation aspects/clauses of the agreement. Only category has a sole responsibility to amend the contract.
*do you have what it takes?*:
- 3-5 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods, manufacturing & site procurement.
- minimum of 5 years of dynamic experience in paper and printing technologies is preferred.
- paper:knowledge of the market dynamics and players within these industries is preferred.
- skilled communicator: professional verbal and written communication, comprehensive, clear, direct, and accurate
- solid analytical and negotiation skills. Able to define and understand the most critical issues.
- ability to develop practical recommendations and implementation plans
