*description*:
supervises the planning, purchase and handling of material for the different areas of the company; as well as shipments of finished product from all areas and warehouses
*key responsibilities*:
- supervise, assist and support purchasing personnel in the processes where it represents complications.
- supporting sibling companies with information, follow-up, projects, etc.
- responsible for following and enforcing procedures applicable to the materials area.
- work with other managers to find solutions to problems and follow up on issues/needs related to the department.
- supervise the different areas of the materials department, warehouse and shipments
- conduct salary reviews and evaluations of department personnel
- participate and assist in the coordination of the annual warehouse audits
- coordinate special projects related to the area
- serve as liaison with the systems department for implementation of improvements/changes to our programs
- participate in staff meetings and decision making
- conduct supplier evaluation program according to iso requirements by updating files and sending periodic reports to supplier
- ensure that department personnel receive the required training according to their position and current standards.
- monitor/analyze metrics pertinent to the department such as cycle counts, inventory turns, on-time deliveries, vendor deliveries etc.
- evacuate in case of emergency and head count of personnel in charge.
- review/monitor obsolete or slow moving materials.
- oversee that all department personnel comply with safety regulations such as the use of ppe.
- oversee compliance with 5s program in materials areas
*skills, knowledge and expertise*:
- bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering or related field
- 100% proficiency in english
- proficient in microsoft office

- 5 years in a similar position
