we are hiring a logistics analyst to develop and implement logistics plans to optimize product flow, enhance delivery times, and improve order fill rates. Leads shipment planning and sales services projects to improve customer experiences and reduce costs. Conducts distribution studies and ensures compliance with planning guidelines for existing and new businesses. Collaborates with distribution management to drive continuous improvement and efficiency. Serves as a logistics expert, supporting sap functionalities and managing system updates and enhancements.
what you will be doing:
* ftl load build: plan and create full truckload (ftl) shipments to optimize space utilization and ensure efficient transport of goods.
* ltl builds: organize less than truckload (ltl) shipments, combining smaller orders to maximize cost efficiency while maintaining delivery timelines.
* clear all incremental dns not planned within a 10-day timeframe: review and address all delivery notifications (dns) that have not been planned for shipment within the next 10 days to avoid delays and ensure timely processing.
* high-risk shipment review (split prevention): assess and mitigate risks associated with high-priority shipments, focusing on preventing shipment splits that could disrupt delivery schedules.
* run and review reports: generate and analyze operational reports to monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with objectives.
* coordinate transport and carriers: work with transportation providers and carriers to arrange shipments, address issues, and ensure timely delivery.
* support manual freight moves planning: assist in the planning and coordination of manual freight movements to address specific operational needs or challenges.
* support expedites planning: provide support in organizing expedited shipments to meet urgent delivery requirements, ensuring efficiency and minimizing costs.
minimum qualifications
* 1-3 years of experience in planning in logistics: demonstrated experience in logistics planning, including organizing shipments, optimizing delivery schedules, and ensuring efficient operations within supply chain processes.
* bachelor's degree in international business or related field: completed higher education in international business or a similar discipline, providing a strong foundation in global trade, supply chain management, and business operations.
* advanced english level: proficient in english, with the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken formats, including working in an international environment.
* experience with excel: skilled in using microsoft excel for data analysis, reporting, and creating spreadsheets, with proficiency in functions and tools such as pivot tables and formulas.
* sap knowledge: familiarity with sap systems, including navigation, data entry, and utilizing tools for logistics and supply chain management.
* sense of urgency: demonstrates a strong sense of urgency when managing time-sensitive tasks or addressing critical issues, ensuring swift and efficient resolution.
desired skills and experience
* sap (transportation management and logistics system): proficient in using sap for managing transportation and logistics processes, including shipment planning and execution.
* tableau, powerbi, or other tools: experience with data visualization or management tools such as tableau or powerbi, or other warehouse or transportation management systems, to analyze performance and track logistics metrics.
* previous experience in shipment planning: hands-on experience organizing and planning shipments, including tasks such as determining product load capacities and optimizing space.
* previous experience coordinating: proven ability to coordinate operations, ensuring collaboration among teams and smooth execution of logistics tasks.
* expediting experience: skilled in organizing and prioritizing expedited shipments to meet urgent needs while minimizing delays and costs.
