.tasksbe part of the vehicle dynamics (ved) software group at continental and participate to the creation of our mk1xx and mkcx products: the brake systems used in conventional, electric and autonomous cars of today and tomorrow.our ecu is the main chassis controller and provides functions to control the vehicle dynamics as the car trajectory (abs, acc, ayc, hsa, ipb, tcs...) for global car manufacturers in america (usa, mexico, brazil).in ved software, you will have the opportunity to practice the benchmark tools of our automotive development and the state-of-the-art methods for software development environment using ibm jazz, git tools...you will be joining an international team and be guided by experienced engineers into the different phases of sw project management: planning, project team coordination and customer interaction, sw integration and sw release.you will lead a project team by collaborating with the worldwide network of ved colleagues.your main tasks (following aspice man.3, sup.8, sup.9, sup.10):- be the first contact for sw topics: provide information and coordinate activities among the sw project team for internal/external stakeholders.- plan and communicate the sw milestones.- lead sw discussions with customer.- monitor sw engineering tasks to ensure deadlines are met.- ensure the changes planned are included, properly validated and meet the quality standards.- evaluate the impact of engineering modifications in the software.- perform basic software testing to detect functional, logic or implementation errors.- create the sw work products by following the defined process (sw executable, calibrations, eeprom and documentation).- detect and communicate any risk that might impact the sw logic or project schedule.- develop and improve on existing sw engineering methods, tools and procedures.
*qualifications*:basic qualifications- 3+ years experience in software engineering- bachelor's degree in an engineering field (computer science, electronics, mechatronics)- practice of automotive sw development tools and methods (v-model, aspice),- programming experience in embedded c language.- understanding of vehicle network communication (can) and related tools.expected skills- excellent communication skills (english).
