Drives the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our it systems, infrastructure, and applications. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strategic mindset to ensure that our it solutions align with the company's objectives and meet the needs of our internal stakeholders.
duties & responsibilities:
* lead and manage a team of it engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
* drive the planning, design, and implementation of it infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
* collaborate with other departments to understand their it requirements and provide technical expertise and solutions to support their business objectives.
* evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for adoption to enhance our it capabilities and competitiveness.
* establish and maintain it engineering standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
* monitor and analyze the performance of it systems and infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize performance and mitigate risks.
* manage vendor relationships and contracts related to it engineering services and solutions, ensuring service level agreements are met and value for money is achieved.
* lead and participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the it engineering team and ensuring successful outcomes.
minimum qualifications:
* bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* proven experience 6+ in it engineering, with a focus on system design, infrastructure management, and application development.
* demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
* strong technical expertise in areas such as networking, cloud computing, virtualization, cybersecurity, and database management.
* excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
* relevant certifications (e.g., itil, cissp, pmp) are a plus.
