we are looking for a motivated business analyst to play a key role on our digital operations support team to enable vail resorts to support our best-in-class data driven e-commerce experience. This position will provide operational support through small enhancements to the user experience and addressing issues as they arise while working closely with product owners, project managers, developers, and quality assurance specialists. We are looking for an outstanding individual who excels in several key areas: gathering and analyzing requirements, understanding business processes, building and managing relationships within a project team, leveraging digital systems and tools, and navigating the software development life cycle.
responsibilities
1. requirements gathering: gather, analyze, and document business requirements to inform design, development, and testing for small enhancements and bug fixes.
2. liaison between teams: serve as the primary liaison between marketing digital experience and digital development team for operational support, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
3. data-driven problem solving: support problem solving within a data driven environment.
4. stakeholder communication: build relationships and support communication between business teams and technical teams, helping translate business needs.
5. user experience (ux) support: work with ux/ui teams to identify and implement basic enhancements to improve user engagement and customer satisfaction.
6. collaboration with product owners: work closely with product owners to define and document business requirements, balancing technical considerations and business needs.
7. documentation: assist in creating and maintaining documentation for requirements and processes.
qualifications we seek in you!
minimum qualifications / skills
1. experience: experience in an agile environment as a business analyst, preferably with exposure to ecommerce operations.
2. education: bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field.
3. technical skills: strong analytical skills with experience in documenting business requirements and creating process flows.
4. communication and interpersonal skills: excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. cross-functional collaboration: experience working across technology, marketing, digital experience, and analytics teams to deliver impactful digital solutions.
6. documentation and detail orientation: proficient in writing detailed requirements and creating documentation.
7. agile experience: proven ability to work effectively in an agile-based delivery environment, supporting successful projects or feature deployments.
preferred qualifications/ skills
1. project management tools: proficiency in jira and confluence.
2. content management systems (cms): familiarity with cms platforms such as sitecore or contentstack.
3. adobe experience tools: experience with adobe target, adobe analytics, or related tools for digital optimization and data analysis.
