Serve as a single point of contact and resource for the sales performance field team and dealers regarding all sales and service related issues.
additionally, assist in resolving complex issues related to transitions in ownership and/or multiple locations for dealerships.
lead completion of transactions through preparation of necessary documentation.
responsibilitiesmajor responsibilities: support ford market area/regions to achieve successful execution of market representation related business plans associated with facilities, minority dealer actions and rehabilitate and replace underperforming dealerships.evaluate, develop, process, and execute all transactions involving sales & service agreements including amendments, resignations, general releases, terminations, assignments, term extensions, nominee successor designations, letters of understanding, letters of intent, and request for additional places of business for a designated region in a timely manner.assist in resolving complex issues related to transitions in ownership and/or multiple locations for dealerships.ensure close collaboration and communication in achievement of goals with the field team, franchising coordinator, retail network contracts manager, rep planning, ogc, finance, fcsd, ford land, ford credit, and all components affecting dealership related actions.ensure market representation actions comply with state franchise laws and are consistent with established, uniformly applied policies and accomplishes intended result of regional recommendations.ensure newly appointed or terminated dealer commitments and contractual obligations are fulfilled.evaluate and ensure resignation benefits (parts returns, vehicle repurchases, signs) for resigning dealers are appropriate.
coordinate collection and/or assignment of account balances due ford motor company by resigned/terminated dealers.
build and maintain relationships with credit and collections.interface with other company components and vendors as necessary to further sales performance regional goals and objectives.handle record maintenance and retention for all completed retail network actions.fulfill all ogc requests for litigation purposes.participate in special projects designed to drive efficiency, improve communications, and meet the retail network department goals and priorities.qualificationsexperience and background requirements: multiple years in marketing sales & service required.field dealer contact experience preferred.prior market representation experience a plus but not required.knowledge of dealership operations and dealership financial statements/sales and profit forecasts.competencies and skills: strong interpersonal / leadership / organizational skills and competencies.ability to interface with retail network management, dealer principals, general managers, and outside legal counsel.able to work independently, and with ambiguity.experience in the microsoft office suite.ability to work with accuracy under pressures of time and workload.comprehend and analyze our performance documents (i.e., dealer profiles, financial statements, 5 year trends, sales effectiveness analysis, etc.
