purpose:
independently, or under limited or null supervision, works on complex assignments which require considerable criteria, judgment and initiative in order to solve problems and issue recommendations. The operations technician is responsible for maintaining, completing setups and repairs of the equipment of the production lines. He/she is responsible for ensuring that all non-planned maintenance work assigned to him/her for all production equipment is performed, keeping the expected levels of the department in the gmps (good manufacturing practices).
you will be responsible for:
1. provides solutions to problems in manufacturing of current and new models.
2. performs basic operational diagnostics tests, solves problems and disconnects components, subassemblies and manufacturing systems, processes and equipment with the purpose of isolating failures, determining the solution and performing necessary trainings.
3. analyses the non-conformant product in the production line; determines the root cause and proposes corrective actions working as a team with the manufacturing supervisor and with the engineering and quality departments.
4. starts, adjusts and operates basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
5. performs simple tests to the processes/products, as well as audits in compliance with quality and/or other regulatory requirements.
6. conducts tests and basic evaluations, experimental tests and design proposal researches under operational conditions. Records the procedures and results of the tests, as well as the numeric and graphical data for its revision by operations.
7. can provide recommendations and technical support in new projects, process improvements and quality investigations.
8. can support the diagnostic and analysis for product customer complaints; perform awareness sessions for the operators and determine the root cause and propose corrective actions working as a team with the manufacturing supervisor, engineering, quality and failure analysis laboratory departments.
9. can support solutions to problems referring to the product in question; evaluating systems, components and electrical or testing equipment.
10. provides support to operators, group leaders and trainers, in areas related to the discipline.
11. follows standardized procedures while performing tasks, when applicable.
12. responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
13. responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
14. performs other duties assigned as needed.
15. develops reports in powerpoint and presents the action plan to management.
16. audits the production processes.
17. leads and coaches support technicians.
qualifications:
1. technical career studies or equivalent, high school or truncated career.
2. 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position, group leader position and/or training related to the position preferably.
3. at least 2 years of experience in the products manufactured by biosense webster or similar products.
4. demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures.
5. able to enter data on spreadsheet and database applications.
6. basic knowledge of problem solving and failure analysis.
7. ability to integrate to work groups.
8. knowledge of the product manufactured by the company.
9. ability to use measuring and testing equipment associated with the specific discipline.
10. capacity to successfully complete the departmental/corporate courses of training in manufacturing techniques.
11. ability to learn about regulatory requirements (gmp and gdp).
12. ability to use computers and related software.
