we are looking for a dynamic individual who wants to basically build community, connections, and promotes great music and art at our venues and bar. This person cares deeply about how people are feeling and enjoying their experience within our spaces. Can self-administrate a budget and run p&ls for each initiative. Can motivate our bar and flagships venues teams to give great service by connecting authentically with the cultural environment and make customers happy. Has a strong ability to curate events, understand vibes and different types of music, and work with artists and performers to provide top-quality american cultural entertainment to its guests.
key qualifications:
* strong management experience with at least 5 years of booking talent and managing a cultural/music venue or different venues.
* strengths in relationship development/management, teaming across functions, deal making and negotiations.
* a self-starter who can work independently to develop new bands and spectacles, with the ability to work in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment.
* you have experience in managing music and culture business to develop the spectacles that you create, or the company has already implemented and devise strategies for sustaining profitable growth. You analyze the market and think beyond the short-term.
* you understand the customer journey, are passionate about their experience, and love to spend time getting your hands dirty to understand the retail/ restaurant business.
* you work for a company that promotes american culture. You are a strong communicator in both english and spanish to interface between two countries & cultures.

* 3+ years of experience in public relations or event promotion is a plus and experience in entertainment industry and/or food service, bar, or nightclub promotion a plus.
* super-duper organized with the ability to maintain systems and be able to put-on events constantly.
* familiar with the use of technology, microsoft office, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale systems.
* ability to sweat the small stuff – detail orientated and focused.
* great negotiating skills and business acumen in interactions with talent.

in this role you will:
* manage our venues’ entertainment spaces to provide world-class experiences setting a great mood and vibe with customers and profitable p&ls.
* support the sales and operations leaders to ensure all experiences are designed as a team and will have the expected outcome with a great organization and profitable management.
* organize events within our venues such as drag queen bingo, trivia night, comedy, music events, and karaoke.
* assist in training and explain to our service teams the specifics about events and shows booked to give world-class authentic service.
* interface with providers such as the audio-visual team and producers to ensure great experiences to our customers within each venue.
* find great talented performers and negotiate with them to play at the venue.
* come up with great ideas for promotions. Work with marketing and specifically with sponsorship manager to ensure our vendors are supporting our events.
