position summary
the assistant brand manager is responsible for assisting in delivering specified business targets (volume, profit, share) through the development and execution of all brand strategies and plans, leading to profitable growth for johnnie walker.
as a cross-functional team leader, the assistant brand manager works effectively across disciplines and develops and sustains strong and productive relationships with external and internal partners to execute brand strategies.
responsibilities
- assist in the execution of short and long-term marketing objectives and strategies.
- participate in the creative development process and support execution of all national and local advertising campaigns across all channels.
- own brand business analysis, using internal and external data sources to continuously monitor business and brand health performance to ensure brand is tracking against goals.
- assist brand manager and media & digital team in the execution of all media plans and initiatives.
- assist brand manager in working with the commercial/trade marketing team to execute brand promotions, helping to direct the implementation of all national and local consumer promotion programming at retail.
- assist the brand manager and the culture & entertainment team, including experiential marketing in the identification and operation of assigned event marketing programming, which might include sponsored events, brand activations, trade related functions, etc.
- assist brand manager in working with the innovation team to deliver of multiple innovations to market, securing all process from set up to on-market retail execution.
- lead day-by-day agenda and process with external partners and agencies for continuous daily basis deliverables, responsible for keeping an on-going fast pace to secure all multiple tasks are being implemented and achieved.
- participate in the creative development process and support execution of advertising campaigns across all channels.

qualifications & experience required
- 1 - 3 years of marketing experience
- strategic and analytical thinking
- exceptional organization and project management skills
- strong teamwork skills to achieve positive relationship & collaboration.
- intellectual curiosity: be proactive.
- strong writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- proficient written & spoken english/spanish
- consumer, competitors & market understanding to formulate strategic insights.
- demonstrated skill in leading strong cross-functional teams; desirable experience managing agency partners.
- handle marketing plans daily execution.
- desirable understanding of key leverage points (volume, p&l, share, a&p, etc)
preferred qualifications
- bachelor's degree in relevant field (marketing, business management, etc.)
- desirable experience in spirits / alcohol industry
