in this role, you will serve as* sr. Strategic sourcing specialist-first aid (commodity manager)* in honeywell's strategic sourcing personal protective equipment-ppe global team.
*key responsibilities*:
- serve as category manager for first aid commodity ($40m spend) across honeywell ppe business.
- develop, deploy, and manage global category strategies including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost, market analysis and global technology / economic trends.
- partner closely with lob business team to ensure early sourcing engagement, alignment on key sourcing objectives and effective execution of sourcing projects.
- identify strategic partners, negotiate contracts and develop a preferred supplier list.
- manage supplier selection, rfq and rfi process, negotiation, contracting and supplier performance processes.
- measure and manage supplier performance (kpi's); savings, payment terms, service levels.
- consistently deliver year-over-year productivity, payment term improvements.
- deploy a regular and effective engagement model with key stakeholders that provides consistent communication and alignment.
- drive and execute the annual and strategic plan with supporting strategies; align business and sourcing initiatives to optimize and deliver year-over-year results.
*must have*:
- 3+ years of experience in commodity management / procurement.
- experience in developing supply base management strategies with a proven record of delivering key business results.
- strong negotiation skills, fluent in drafting contract terms and conditions.
- strong program management skill's.
- flexibility to take on special projects and work directly with a global team.
