- noise& vibration testing and analysis of intuitive motion controlproducts, such as electric power steering - conduct component,system, and vehicle measurements, interpret the results, andcommunicate to the team.
- noise & vibration problem solvingand design - customer interface on nvh problems and concerns -provides technical direction to support testing personnel -coordinate/lead validation and development nvh testing - providenvh support for special engineering projects with other departments- provide nvh support for customer programs and cost savingsimprovements - lead and/or participate in nvh problem solvingactivities - provide support to nexteer production facilities fornoise troubleshooting activities - provide support to customerproduction facilities for noise troubleshooting activities - staysabreast of new technology education: - bachelor's degree inmechanical, electrical engineering, or physics with a background innoise, vibration, or acoustics.
experience: - 3 years of nvhexperience preferred.
qualifications: - specialization in noise andvibration measurements and analysis - advanced understanding of nvhinstrumentation and processing equipment - rotating machinery andstructural nvh analysis - strong digital signal processingproficiency - high level of analytical ability where problems areunusual or difficult - understanding of engineering theory &principles of design - strong oral and written communication skillsrequired - demonstrated ability to work independently and withothers - training in head acoustics software, lms analysissoftware, and/or signal x software preferred - training in computerapplications including matlab and labview preferred - training incae software for nvh analysis such as abaqus, nastran, simsolid,hypermesh, simcenter preferred - general interest in productdesign, particularly automotive
