We are looking for a skilled senior oracle dba to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong incident escalation management skills. In this role, you will interact with customers to understand their needs, provide training, and ensure exceptional service. Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential. As the main point of contact, you will build strong customer relationships, coordinate with different support teams, and assist internal oracle employees in handling complex customer situations and escalations.
requirements:
* 5+ years of experience as an oracle dba.
* strong knowledge of linux, aix, and other operating systems.
* experience with at least one oracle high availability technology such as data guard, real application clusters, asm, or gg.
* experience with rman, multitenant, oem, and datapump.
* proficiency in migrations, upgrades, and patching.
* experience with oracle cloud and exadata is a plus.
* strong troubleshooting skills with a passion for research and root cause analysis (rca).
* proactive mindset – ability to take initiative and work independently without waiting for instructions.
* strong documentation skills – enjoys documenting processes and best practices for knowledge sharing.
* self-learning capability and passion for continuous learning.
* excellent verbal and written communication skills (minimum b2, preferred c1). Must be able to communicate effectively with global customers, handle escalations, and manage difficult conversations professionally.
* availability to work afternoon shifts and cover some weekends per month as part of a rotating schedule.
