what you will experience in this position:
as a warehouse sr supervisor at nvent management company, you will lead a team in flawless warehouse operations. Optimize logistics and inventory, collaborating with departments for improvement.
* responsible for daily warehouse management and communication with other departments to solve cross-department cooperation problems.
* develop and lead stock keeper teams to provide support to manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, and lead the work in different shifts.
* warehouse and production line inventory control, cycle count, and accuracy control.
* effectively handle all raw materials and finished goods to ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory materials.
* manage and control all domestic and oversea logistics costs in the most efficient and economical way.
* periodically review the performance of carriers, focusing on cost, timely delivery, and quality of shipping, and take actions to close any gaps.
* optimize all carrier agreements and review the performance of brokers to ensure high-speed customs clearance meets the urgent demand of production.
* handle all kinds of exceptions in contact with customs.
* set and complete critical metric targets for the team, analyze gaps, and implement improvement actions for unqualified items.
* perform other duties as needed.
you have:
* bachelor's degree.
* 6+ years of relevant experience in logistics/warehouse management.
* 3+ years of validated experience leading employees.
* proficiency in excel, powerpoint, and power bi.
* lean manufacturing experience.
* fully bilingual.
* kanban methodology experience.
* previous knowledge in any erp, jdedwards, or as-400 is a plus.
* yellow belt desirable; green or black belt is a plus.
* proficient in personnel, results and performance indicators management, focus on safety and results, problem analysis and solution, time management, emotional intelligence, planning, communication and voiceover skills, adaptability, conflict resolution.
