responsibilities:
* implement mechanisms to ensure product compliance and delivery in accordance with engineering requirements and established regulations.
* lead monitoring and follow up on non-conformance detected during the inspection process.
* interact with different support and operative areas to implement corrective actions to fix, contain and prevent issues that impact product quality and/or process adherence.
* validate and release products.
* determine metrics, follow up, and generate reports to achieve the team's goals.
* contribute to root cause analysis for non-conformance reported by customers, ensuring a pss activity and ensuring action closure to avoid recurrence.
* develop and monitor the production verification process with natural teams.
* work collaboratively with natural teams on customer impact priorities.
how to thrive in this role?
* you hold experience in calypso programming and measurement on this software (intermediate - advanced).
* you hold experience in drawing interpretation, gd&t, and use of measurement instruments (length and roughness).
* you have a professional degree in aeronautics, electromechanics, electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
* you hold experience as a metrologist (with at least 2 years in the position or in a similar position).
* you hold experience and knowledge of quality core tools (apqp, amef, pcp, ppap, msa & spc), continuous improvement, and six sigma tools.
* you are able to hold business conversations in english to explain the technical issues of your workstation, write documents in english, and read and understand technical reference documents.
* you have knowledge of catia, 3dvia, and enovia.
* you hold experience in problem-solving tools (8ds, ishikawa, 5 why's).
