arcelormittal mexico is seeking a highly skilled and experienced learning & development manager to lead the company’s training area and support the ongoing development of our operations. This leadership role is key to ensuring that our training programs are effective, aligned with business goals, and optimize the performance of all employees. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in training, industrial safety, budget management, union relations, and an analytical approach to evaluating the impact of training initiatives.

main areas of responsibility:
* training strategy & leadership : define and implement the training strategy aligned with business objectives, driving talent development and transformation across the organization.
* industrial safety training : oversee and coordinate safety training programs to ensure all employees comply with safety regulations and procedures, aiming to reduce workplace risks and accidents.
* union training : develop and implement training programs for unionized employees, promoting continuous improvement in their skills and ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.
* audits and certifications : manage internal and external audits of training programs and ensure compliance with quality standards and necessary certifications.
* budget management : oversee the budget allocated for training, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimizing the investment in employee development.
* metrics and impact analysis : evaluate the impact of training programs through key metrics, ensuring alignment with performance and talent development goals.
* team management & cross-department collaboration : lead the training team and work closely with other departments to identify training needs and contribute to organizational performance improvement.
requirements:
bachelor’s degree in fields such as psychology, business administration, industrial engineering, human resources, or related disciplines. A postgraduate degree in talent management or organizational development is a plus.
experience:
minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within learning and talent development.
experience in industrial safety, with the ability to design and execute risk prevention training programs.
extensive experience in union training, managing training and development for unionized staff.
proven experience in audits and certifications for training programs and compliance with quality standards.
strong budget management experience for training programs, with a focus on resource efficiency.
experience in metrics analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training initiatives.
