what you will do
1. collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (qms) in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., iso 9001, industry-specific regulations).
2. lead and participate in quality audits to identify potential problems and non-conformances in product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
3. analyze and investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (capa) to prevent recurrence.
4. develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and test plans.
5. conduct and document product inspections and testing to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
6. monitor and analyze quality performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
7. participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
8. stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality control.
9. train and mentor junior quality engineers.
10. communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding quality issues and initiatives.
who you are
1. bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
2. minimum 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role.
3. proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining qms.
4. strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., six sigma, lean manufacturing).
5. experience with conducting quality audits and inspections.
6. excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
8. ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. proficient in microsoft office suite (word, excel, powerpoint).
10. experience with quality control software (a plus).
11. english and spanish proficiency.
