summary: the trade compliance specialist assists management in the initiatives, processes and policies to ensure global compliance to import/export law and regulations, in accordance with the company’s trade compliance policy
- audit, track & trend import broker performance.
- classify imported and exported goods as required.
- address day-to-day compliance matters.
- partner with group business leaders to review raw material and equipment sources, customer locations, product development and production location changes, and develop business specific trade strategies to improve trade compliance.
- identify and communicate major trade issues, customs legal decisions, programs and procedures to management and legal counsel.
- determine strategies to reduce annual duties and tariffs, and lead participation in programs
*qualifications*:
- bachelor’s degree required.
- fluent in english, conversational.
- 1-2 years export regulatory operations.
- import compliance knowledge.
- strong communication skills with business partners in all
