*general summary*
the it operations analyst 2 is responsible for managing the data carriers of the client owned circuits for infrastructure, data center, and office connectivity.
they will have focus on the project workload that relates to new circuit installations, circuit updates, upgrades, and technology transitions.
this role will ensure that project expectations, milestones, delivery dates and status reports are available to the client, management, and project team.
*essential duties & responsibilities*:
- responsible for the procurement, ordering, tracking, coordination, and implementation of new data circuits for jll's it network and data centers
- close collaboration with global teams to ensure local specifics are considered and requirements are met
- maintain an accurate and global circuit inventory of all network circuits
- perform regular audits to determine if there is a more cost-effective solution available
- support in renewing circuit-related contracts and constantly monitor for the potential for optimization
- manages complex resolution of provisioning issues and develops practices and procedures for circuit installation and maintenance
- perform monthly invoice analysis, validation, and potential payment approval on data invoices
- resolve and escalate orders and issues
- works with client partners for circuit audits and bill tracking and drive vendors to resolve any billing or contract issues
- creates and maintains all process documentation for the circuit management team
- maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and procedures
- mentors the team on training, circuit programs, client polices and operational procedures
- responsible for managing the daily and overall work process and practical implementation of relevant standards
- understands and maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and procedures
- knowledge of telecommunications and data communications services including network, voice, mobile and unified communications
- in-depth knowledge of an understanding of circuit pricing and benchmarking of telecom services
*experience & education*
- bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- experienced in working with telecom expense management systems
- experience in wireline procurement and dealing with the wireline service providers preferred
- analytical experience with large data volumes
- billing investigations
*preferred competencies*:
- reviewing, understanding, interpreting, and managing carrier contracts
- c-level presentation and interaction skills
- project management skills including presentation are essential
- proficient experience using microsoft office products.
- effective escalation skills are critical to effectively and manage vendors (both partners and non-partner vendors)
